In order to do this, Fannie Mae requires certain standards for homes that are eligible for financing. One of these standards is a Fannie Mae floor plan.
A Fannie Mae floor plan is a detailed, to-scale drawing of the layout of a home. It includes the location of all walls, doors, and windows, as well as the dimensions of each room. This information is important for lenders because it allows them to accurately assess the value of a property and determine whether it meets Fannie Mae’s eligibility requirements.
But why would you, as a homeowner, want a Fannie Mae floor plan done of your home? There are a few reasons.
